Site Talun administratively included in Sari Lake Village area, District Sagalaherang. Land site in the form of a garden on a small hill at the southern end of the village, precisely at the position 06 ° 38'02, 6 "latitude and 107 ° 37'32, 9" longitude at an altitude of about 450 m. Ownership status is at the local community garden that is, the western part of the site is owned by Mr. Tajudin, the eastern part of Mother's Neni (Mr. Yana Hadiyana, SE), and in the southwestern part (south garden Mr Tajudin) owned by Mr. Machri. The distance between the sites with the township of about 200 m. Limit sites to the east is the village road, north of the garden, west of the tomb complex general, and south fields.
Geographical conditions of the site area is an area Talun undulating plain with an altitude between 200 m to 650 m above sea level. In the southeast of the village there Cibadakpasea Sand (475 m) and in the northeast there are sands Nyomot (640 m). As a hilly region, this region is upstream several rivers. Cikeruh tipped in two small tributaries located in the west village and at the foot of Sand Cibadakpasea. Both of these small streams flowing westward and converges then veered to the north. In sebalah northern hamlet, at the foot of Sand Nyomot Cibayawak there upstream. This river flows into the northwest and then fused with Cikeruh. This river flows meandering to the northwest and then fused with cilamaya.
The existence of sites Talun first revealed in about the year 1993. The word on the community in Kampung Talun stated that there are many large-sized bricks. According to oral history given community Talun Mr. Tata (40s), is the former location of the square of a kingdom. Mr Tata also told that once upon a dream Talun ancestral village communities that receive guidance on the location marked with a yellow bamboo nearby that no trace of footprints hidden buffalo gold trophy. Based on these instructions and then the location is excavated, there was only a large brick structure. Some times people take the bricks until there used to terrace houses and forts (talud).
In early 2006 a big mystery at the Kampung Talun brick sticking out anymore. Reportedly there are groups of people who pay attention to the ancient relics excavated in the garden owned by Mr. Tajudin. Excavation has successfully revealed the structure of brick lengthwise north-south direction. 6.80 m long structure consists of two rows of bricks. In the northern and southern part connected with the angle that the transverse structure of the east-west direction. Structure across the north and south leads to the mother's garden Neni. Structure across the north and south respectively are also composed of two rows. In the northern part of the structure shown consists of five layers of bricks, while the south has not seemed entirely.
Based on the results of excavations of this community, Bandung Institute of Archaeology in 2006 doing a systematic excavation of the remains of a brick structure Talun site.
Average excavation reached a depth of about 1.5 m. Seen that the soil that covers the remains of ancient brick on top of a blackish brown clay fine to coarse textured. Below the clay layer is a layer of tufa lapukan Pasiran yellow. The next layer is brown clay. In the layer of brown clay that contained fragments of brick and brick structure. The remaining brick structure visible from the excavation is at a depth of 1.30 m. Brick structure consisting of two units. The first unit on the west side is the foundation of (shelf) berdenah square building with a size 7 x 7 m with a floor structure. The second unit is found to the east of the first unit of rolak brick structure that has not been revealed as a whole.
The structure is clearly visible floor consists of three layers. The top layer, brick disusunan elongated east-west, the layer beneath it arranged elongated north-south, and the bottom layer of bricks arranged elongated east-west. Preparation techniques are not visible bricks using an adhesive layer. Distance antarbata (nat) is very narrow. Antarbata adhesive clay is estimated to be smooth. Smooth surface of brick made to enable the preparation perfectly. The structure of brick in an upright position (rolak) was also prepared with a very narrow range. Adhesive layer between the bricks did not appear explicitly.
Another important artifact is a fragment of a blue and white ceramics are found beneath the brick fragment concentration at a depth of about 60 cm. The fragment is broken bowl from China during the Ming dynasty (Century-14 - 17). Other ceramic fragments found at a depth of 77 cm, which is part of the body is white fragments. These ceramic fragments derived from the Chinese T'ang Dynasty (7th century - 10) of the form jar.
Based on the analysis of fragments of pottery and brick structures that are found on the site can be estimated Talun from around the 8th century - 17. This period is a period of Sunda kingdom. Regarding whether and to what brick building in Talun until now still in the research. However, the presence of these findings also illustrated that in Subang area there are clusters of the southern settlements.
