Jentreng is a kind of stringed instrument with seven strings of fruit. The size is much smaller when compared with DAMAS in general. Wooden flower (ylang) or jackfruit wood. Techniques learned and play it on-toel (touched) with left-right finger. Index finger, middle finger and right thumb to pluck the high notes, while the left hand index finger to touch the low tones (the top of the instrument).
If it distem jentreng Pelog barrel, the tone sequence starting from 5 (la) to tone 1 (da) is low (note octave), and if distem barrel salendro starts ringing tone sequence 4 (galimer) to tone 1 (the goods). How to tune both the barrel as follows:
